Wonders of Vietnam – 15 day tour with Roll in Asia

Day 1

We pick you up from the airport in Vietnam capital Hanoi and bring you to your hotel. Depending on your time of arrival you will have a little guided tour in the city nearby your hotel. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 2

Start the day with a guided tour of the capital city by “cyclo” with a tour of the historical quarter of Hanoi.  Enjoy wandering in this calm yet lively area. You will hop on the cyclo at the hotel and have a non-stop loop tour of sightseeing and get back to your hotel.

Lunch in a Vietnamese colonial villa. Afternoon visit of the Women museum. Finally overnight in Hanoi.

Day 3

After breakfast at the hotel, we will Proceed to the Ethnology Museum to learn about habits and ancestral traditions of the 54 ethnics composing the country. The afternoon is first dedicated to the most renowned man of the nation: Ho Chi Minh. An impressive mausoleum hosts his body. Later you will also visit the peculiar “One Pilar Pagoda”.  Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 4

Only 2 hours drive away from Hanoi, you will see the “dry Halong Bay“, which offers an amaizing landscape of karst mountains. In the afternoon Visit a lost temple in the countryside and continue with a stunning promenade among the lush rice paddies and majestic karst mountains.  Overnight in Ninh Binh.

Day 5

This morning, depart for one of the most famous landscape of Asia: Halong Bay, also a UNESCO heritage site. At the end of the morning you will embark a traditional boat for a lifetime cruise of 2 days/1 night. The staff onboard will assist you during your cruise to fully enjoy this journey. Overnight onboard.

Day 6

You will enjoy a magical breakfast this morning while cruising among the karsts. Meet your driver and have a ride back to Hanoi,  drop off at your hotel. End of the day at leisure. Overnight in Hanoi.

Day 7

Flight from Hanoi to Danang. Afternoon: visit with your guide the beautiful little paved streets, w ith houses painted in warm colors, hanging lanterns on their doorsteps.  Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 8

The countryside of Hoi An remains quite authentic. It is only at a 10mn ride from your hotel that you reach the rural village of Tra Que. Your guide will introduce you to the history of the village but also to the agricultural activity of this zone where all the work is still done manually thanks to ancestral techniques.  Enjoy tasting the local food specialties such as the “Tam Huu” rolls or the “ban Xeo” pancakes. Overnight in Hoi An

Day 9

Full day at leisure to enjoy shopping or relaxing at your hotel. Hoi An is a very easy little town to circulate without your guide. Overnight in Hoi An.

Day 10

Take your time to relax in Hoi An this morning. Check out at noon. Departure to Hue, the former imperial city of the country.

Day 11

Start with a visit at Dong Ba market, located along the perfume river.  Continue with the highlight of the city listed as a UNESCO Heritage site: the imperial citadel (capital of Vietnam from 1802 until 1945).  Visit Thien Mu Pagoda which is the tallest religious building in Vietnam, overlooking the perfume river. Short ride to reach an ancient Japanese covered bridge located in deep countryside Overnight in Hue.

Day 12

Today you will go to the airport to reach Saigon, the economic capital of the country. meet your cyclo rider and have a tour of the city in this typical transportation. visit of the city’s architectural highlights: Notre Dame Cathedral, the Central Post Office designed by the famous French architect Gustave Eiffel, finally, the Reunification Palace.  Overnight in Saigon.

Day 13

Departure toward Tao Dan Park, located in the heart of the city. You will enjoy wandering in there to watch the locals performing Tai Chi.  Take a ride to the flower market of “Ho Thi Ky” to delight yourself with this beautiful sight and smell of photogenic tropical flowers. End the morning visits with the War remants Museum.  Afternoon at leisure. Overnight in Saigon.

Day 14

Today, you will visit the very dynamic little market of Cai Be. After the visit of the market, continue to a local manufactory of coconut candies, of pop-rice and liquor. Lunch in a restaurant located along the river. This afternoon, take the little ferry boat for a short ride to an island. Drive back to Saigon at the end of the day. Overnight in Saigon.

Day 15

Breakfast at your hotel. Time at leisure until time of transfer to the airport. Possibility of a trip extension to Siem Reap to enjoy the temples of Angkor
