It is the prime mission of the organization. Their second mission is to increase the number of people who are ready to support people with these needs and to keep updating their skills and knowledge.
Further they aim to support the elderly/disabled people work/study/have fun by connecting the outside world, and to raise awareness of the society toward the world of the “Normalization”.
Their activities include providing accessible travel information on travel destinations (hotels and accommodations, tourist facilities, devices useful for travelling, information on accessibility-needs friendly tours), giving physical support to elderly and disabled people and training/education of supporting staff.
Also, they do a lot of consulting on accessible tourism in Japan, for various scopes: accessible tourism business and creation of accessible tourism products, analysis of the Japan accessible tourism market and for the arrangement and service skill improvement to increase the accessibility of hotels, restaurants and other sightseeing facilities.
They provide training on how to cater services to elederly/disabled people and how to enhance accessible tourism businesses.
