This seven day journey by accessible van/coach will take you to see some incredible sights and landscapes, and starts from the Mt. Fuji view from Oshino Hakkai on day 1, then goes up to Yatsugatake Mountain Area, Nagano Prefecture, further to Kamikochi, the most renowned natural scenic spot in Japan.
We will then proceed to Shirakawa-go village, registered as one of Japan’s world heritage sites in 1995 due to the famous traditional gassho-zukuri farmhouses, some of which are more than 250 years old. Gassho-zukuri means “constructed like hands in prayer”, as the farmhouses’ steep thatched roofs resemble the hands of Buddhist monks pressed together in prayer.
After visiting Nagoya, the third largest city of Japan, we will go to Nihondaira, Shizuoka Prefecture, which is also one of the natural scenic spots where you have a magnificent view of Mt. Fuji. The same mountain may look different from different directions and surroundings!
This is the ideal tour for those who love nature and wish to discover rural Japan and lots of natural areas. The tour is organised and run by local accessible travel specialists Ohayo Travel.
