The tour we have prepared for you includes some of the most fun and interesting highlights: from a visit to the windmills, to discover the history of how the Dutch have managed their land – and how they manage not to be flooded!- hroughout history, to the fun and colours of Amsterdam, to the cheesemaking industry in Gouda, home to the famous… Gouda cheese!

But there is much more to explore, and you will see it all! This tour is wondefully adapted for wheelchair users (also power scooters) by Accessible Travel Netherlands, and it is suitable and enjoyable also for people with various needs, read on lo learn more.

What to Expect

This tour is tailored to people with mobility needs and has a slow and easy pace, but allows you to see some of the best things that The Netherlands have to offer. 

Wheelchair users have a van with lift for the day trips and can either book an adapted transfer for the day trip to Amsterdam or use the city’s wheelchair adapted public transport system (the Hotel is located on the immediate outskirts of the city, ideal for all the other city trips!).

Day 1 Arrive in Amsterdam

Pick up at the airport or train station with an accessible vehicle and on to the hotel.

Day 2Amsterdam

Explore Amsterdam with local guide and by canal cruise (3 hour tour plus 75 minute canal cruise).

Day 3Leiden

Today we visit and discover the city of Leiden, a city located just 30 minutes from Amsterdam and full of architectural surprises (7 to 8 hour tour). Night in Amsterdam.

Day 4Amsterdam and the windmills

We will go and visit the windmils from the inside and outside and discover how clogs are made at Zaanse Schans (4 hour tour).

Day 5Rotterdam and Delft

Discover Zuid-Holland and visit the cities of Rotterdam and Delft. Admire the rise of contemporary architecture in Rotterdam and see how Delft blue pottery is made afterwards. (10 hour tour)

Day 6Scheveningen and The Hague

Enjoy a breeze at the Dutch beach of Scheveningen and look at the beautiful palaces of the Royal Family in The Hague (8 hour tour)

Day 7Gouda

Departure or visit to Gouda to taste and buy typical Dutch cheese and syrup waffles. (4 – 6 hour tour)
